I’m Fatima Keys, M.A., LPC-S, a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, speaker, author, and mental health advocate dedicated to providing holistic mental health support to individuals and relationships with compassion, clarity, and authenticity.
My journey in mental health began in 1999, working with underserved and marginalized communities—experiences that have shaped my deep commitment to advocacy, empathy, and culturally responsive care. After completing my licensure in 2013 and opening my private practice, I have remained committed to offering personalized care through evidence-informed mental health counseling services that honor both lived experiences and clinical expertise.
I specialize in supporting individuals and couples navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, burnout, communication issues, identity exploration, and relationship concerns. Having walked through my own seasons of healing and self-discovery, I bring both professional skill and genuine understanding into the therapeutic space. My goal is to create an environment where clients feel safe, seen, and supported as they reconnect with themselves and each other.
My approach is person-centered, integrative, and rooted in authenticity. I have extensive experience in individual and couples counseling and am deeply committed to affirming Black, Hispanic, Indigenous, and LGBTQIA+ communities, as well as individuals with diverse identities and relationship structures. I work collaboratively with individuals, couples, families, and adolescents (12+), helping clients navigate life’s complexities while building emotional awareness, healthier connections, and sustainable tools for real-life change.
Through therapy, workshops, speaking engagements, and books, my mission is to help people move from survival to self-trust—unlocking greater wholeness, confidence, and connection. I assist overwhelmed minds in regulating, refocusing, and resetting.

I provide individual counseling for adults and adolescents (12+) who are ready to heal from anxiety, chronic stress, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, anger burnout, emotional overwhelm, and major life transitions. I specialize in helping clients understand and regulate the nervous system so anxiety no longer runs their life.
If your mind feels constantly overwhelmed, scattered, or stuck in survival mode, therapy offers a space to slow down, breathe, and reset. I help overwhelmed minds refocus, regulate, and restore balance so you can feel grounded, clear, and emotionally steady again.
Our work together focuses on calming the nervous system, building emotional resilience, strengthening confidence, and creating real-life tools you can use outside of session.

I provide couples counseling for partners seeking support with emotional, relational, and mental health challenges through holistic mental health approaches. Therapy is designed to strengthen communication, increase emotional safety, and support healthier connections. My mental health counseling services can help with: Communication difficulties and recurring conflict, anxiety, depression, and ADHD impacting the relationship, trust concerns and infidelity recovery, emotional disconnection or feeling “stuck,” intimacy and closeness challenges, parenting and co-parenting stress, financial stress and life transitions, intimacy issues, low libido, and ED.
Affirming & Inclusive Care
I offer LGBTQIA+ affirming couples therapy 🌈, as well as support for ENM, poly, and non-traditional relationships 🇵🇫, ensuring culturally responsive, non-judgmental care with personalized care tailored to your needs.
Session Options
Choose from 45 or 60-minute sessions, available in person in Universal City, TX, or via secure telehealth. Longer sessions of up to 360 minutes and unique couples and sex therapy options are also available.

I provide engaging, trauma-informed speaking experiences rooted in clinical expertise and real-life application, focusing on holistic mental health. I speak on anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, burnout, emotional regulation, and mental wellness in ways that are relatable, practical, and human. My work includes thoughtful, culturally responsive conversations around sensitive topics impacting African American communities, such as the effects of race, family expectations, faith, generational patterns, and systemic stressors on mental health and emotional well-being. I create space to name experiences that are often minimized or left unspoken, while reducing stigma and supporting healing through personalized care. My speaking style is warm, grounded, and approachable, offering tools audiences can use immediately. Each presentation is customized to the audience, setting, and goals of the event, making it suitable for conferences and professional organizations, corporate wellness and employee mental health events, schools, colleges, universities, and faith-based or community spaces.

Mind Your Mind is an anxiety-reduction workshop focused on helping individuals understand anxiety, regulate their nervous system, and build practical coping skills.
